John Craigie’s Winter Tour
We met up with John Craigie on the fourth stop of his winter tour at the sold-out Sheridan Opera House in Telluride, Colorado. The historic venue, nestled in the mountains, was the perfect backdrop for an evening of music, humor, and storytelling.

Craigie owned the stage with his signature mix of wit and warmth, effortlessly weaving stories between songs and keeping the crowd hanging on every word. His ability to turn casual banter into something both humorous and meaningful is what makes his shows feel so unique—equal parts comedy, poetry, and folk mastery.
Beyond the music, Craigie wasn’t afraid to touch on politics and sometimes heavier topics with a lightness that never felt forced. He found that rare balance of making people laugh while also making them think—bold, given today’s climate. More than that, he opened space for anyone in need of healing, reminding the crowd that music is as much about connection as it is about entertainment.
Glen Phillips opened the night and later joined Craigie for one of the standout moments of the evening—a duet of Criagie’s “I Am California.” The crowd lit up, fully locked into the moment, as their voices blended into something truly special.
By the end of the night, it was clear why Craigie’s fans keep coming back. His shows aren’t just about the music—they’re an experience, a gathering, a reminder of how live music brings us together.
