Go Higher Set to Inspire

Multi-platinum artist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Big Sean is stepping into a new arena with his debut book, Go Higher, dropping January 21. This is our chance to learn from one of the most influential and inspirational voices in the game.

If you’ve followed Big Sean’s discography, especially his latest release Better Me Than You, you’ll already be familiar with his introspective lyrics and dedication to personal growth.

Better Me Than You explores themes of clarity, setting boundaries, appreciating the good, reflecting on past habits you’re working to change, spirituality, and more. One of my (Em’s) favorite tracks off the album is “Who You Are (Superstar).” It’s a song that makes me feel like I can take on the day—it gives me a sense of unwavering confidence. Another standout is the “Clarity Skit,” which blends humble reminders with powerful affirmations. Listen for yourself!

Ashley weighed in by sharing that a song she vibes heavy with off the album is “Typecast,” due to Big Sean’s incredible flow. Check it out here:

If you practice self-care intentionally, you’ve probably experienced its many phases: sometimes overdoing it to the point where it’s no longer self-care, other times neglecting it altogether. Some seasons, it feels like a chore, and other times, it’s exactly what you need. There’s a balance and art to self care that becomes innate the further you master it.
