ILL CONSCIOUS
The year that Nas and Jay-Z beefed on wax, is when my origins and participation in hip hop begins. A rapper’s rapper or the emcee’s emcee rather, is a moniker that those closest to myself and my brand have loved to express over the last decade. In my humble beginnings, I climbed the metaphorical ranks of hip hop through battling and cyphering in my early years. I wanted nothing more but to elevate consistently and hone my skills til the point where the degree of separation became undeniably evident amongst myself and my peers.
2015 I released my first official album “The Essence” which served as a catalyst to more exposure on an international scale. I underwent business endeavors with European labels and collaborated with artists and producers that are a part of the international hip hop community.
2018 I would experience my first tour where I was a supporting act for legendary Baltimore Duo, Dirt Platoon. This experience continued to feed my ambition and it served as one of the building blocks to a continuing successful career as an underground indie artist. I have been giving the opportunity to open up for so many of my favorite artists as well as be the actual headliner in my own respects.
In recent years I’ve been able to share my works on platforms such as Shade 45, PBS: Artworks, Red Bull BC One event, and Top Shelf Premium. The plan is to continue to strive to solidify my spot as a household name in the underground HipHop circuit. In 2022, I released “Acres of Diamonds” which was a pivotal moment in my career. With press and fan response favorable across the board, I was able to go on my first post pandemic tour in Europe summer 2022. Fourteen shows across three countries which climaxed with an appearance on a Summer Jam festival stage in Germany supporting legends of that scene Toni-L and MC Torch.
I am readying more heat for 2025 with 3 projects slated to be released. The first project is The Premise LP which is all produced by Toronto’s own, Finn. The Second project is The Aggregation of Marginal Gains EP with Alcynoos and DJ Parental. Lastly, The Third project is another LP, The Art of Raw LP, with Norwegian producer Type Raw from Loop.Holes which features the likes of Blu, Hex One, Planet Asia and Masta Ace.
Whether it is being a supporting act on the Common and Pete Rock, The Auditorium Tour, Souls of Mischief 93’ Til Infinity Tour, or headlining my own tour overseas, the plan is to continue to excel and propel my brand to new heights in 2025 and beyond.
