Back when I was 12 years old, I would spend 5-6 hours a night listening to and analyzing the lyrics to tracks from Lupe Fiasco, Eminem, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Andre 3000, and so many more hip hop artists. Freestyling especially caught my attention as I found out about Wayne Brady on ‘Who’s Line is it Anyway?’ and Lin Manuel Miranda on ‘Freestyle Love Supreme’. I scoured KOTD rap battle videos for the best off-top rebuttal in the session. Today, I lead the content and digital marketing strategy for the great freestyle emcee Harry Mack.

As I studied the greats, the urge to write my own poetry and perform my own music kept growing, so here I am. I love to livestream with my audience and freestyle using words they provide in the chat, as well as record written pieces over a wide variety of instrumentals. I’ve only just started creating on my own accord, and hopefully one of my messages strikes a chord with you. ✌🏻
